Kids Paddleboard Summer Camp 2026
Thanks for considering The Paddle for your kid's summer. Choosing where to send your child for a week — especially one that involves a lake, paddleboards, and somebody else's clipboard — is a big call. We want to make that decision easy by telling you exactly how we run camp, what your kid will actually be doing, and how we handle the moments that matter most.
A DAY AT CAMP
Monday through Friday, with drop-off starting at 8:30 AM and pickup between 5:00 and 5:30 PM.

• 8:30 AM — Drop-off, PFD fitting, safety circle
• 9:00–11:30 AM — Morning on the water (SUP fundamentals, skills, games)
• 11:30 AM–12:30 PM — Land break and outdoor games
• 12:30–1:30 PM — Lunch
• 1:30–3:00 PM — Afternoon programming (more water time, land games, and activities)
• 3:00–3:30 PM — Snack break
• 3:30–5:00 PM — Wind-down activities
• 5:00–5:30 PM — Pickup

Need to grab your kid earlier — at lunch, mid-afternoon, anytime — that's totally fine. Just give us advance notice of any scheduling conflicts and we'll have them ready when you arrive.
THE TWO RULES THAT DON'T BEND
We hold ourselves to a 5:1 kids-to-coach ratio on the water. Always. If a coach has to step away for any reason, water activity pauses until the ratio is back. And Coast Guard-approved PFDs stay on every body — kids, coaches, no exceptions.
Headcounts happen before launch, every 15 minutes on the water, and after every transition.

WHAT IF MY KID ISN'T SURE ABOUT THE WATER?
Totally fine — and more common than you'd think. We never force water time. Kids who'd rather watch or help with land activities get a real role for the day. The goal is for your kid to leave loving the lake, and that doesn't happen by pushing them in.

WHAT IF IT RAINS?
We pivot indoors without missing a beat — movies, board games, crafts, bracelet-making, LEGOs, puzzles, drawing. Same supervision, same energy, different setting.

IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG
If anything notable happens during the day — a fall, a scrape, a meltdown — you'll hear from us before pickup, not at pickup. For anything beyond that, we follow a clear emergency protocol: 911 first, then we're on the phone with you immediately. A direct camp phone number will be shared with you when your kid's spot is confirmed, so you'll have a way to reach us all week.

WHAT TO SEND WITH YOUR KID
• A proper lunch — a sandwich or something substantial
• Refillable water bottle
• Sunscreen (we'll remind them to reapply)
• Swimsuit under their clothes, towel, change of clothes
• Closed-toe water shoes or sandals with a back strap

We provide all the gear — boards, paddles, and PFDs. Snacks and beverages are available for purchase on-site for in-between fuel, but please send a proper lunch from home.

ANYTHING ELSE?
If you have questions about your kid specifically — swim level, anxiety around water, allergies, anything — just hit reply. We read every email.

Ready to lock in a week? Send us the dates you're eyeing and we'll get your kid on the roster.
Looking forward to having them out on the water with us.
